UNITING AGAINST RADICALISM
"
While most pundits blame Islamic fundamentalism (or Jewish, or Christian, etc.) for violence in the name of religion, Turkish author Harun Yahya believes it is rather radicalism that drives the supposedly-religious to violence. To achieve a mutual peace will require sustained
efforts at educating all believers about the truths in other religions and downplaying radical ideologies."

REFLECTIONS ON THE TSUNAMI
G

"We live on a planet, and in a universe, of which catastrophe and cataclysm are an integral part. Meteors have struck the Earth, extinguishing large fractions of all living creatures; giant volcanoes have devastated wide areas and changed planetary climate; sea levels have risen and fallen, creating new patterns of habitable land. Because such events happen relatively infrequently (relative to the short time spans of human civilisation), we find it difficult to imagine their huge impact. Yet they do happen, and we must try to find ways of acknowledging this. They may come tomorrow, or in a thousand years, or in a million. Their unpredictability gives a salutary jolt to the complacent comfort of life in the richer countries. The fact that such events would affect us all can lead to an increased sense of human unity: and the planet-wide generosity of the public, governments and businesses in the case of the tsunami is a tangible and heartening sign of this........."

INTERNATIONAL CAMPAIGN FOR TIBET                                                                  G

The International Campaign for Tibet (ICT) works to promote human rights and democratic freedoms for the people of Tibet. Founded in 1988, ICT is a non-profit membership organization with offices in Washington D.C., Amsterdam and Berlin.

"
Ride for the Panchen Lama a Success (April 29th, 2005)
The group of Tibetan exiles who cycled from Washington DC to the UN HQ to raise awareness about Tibet's missing child Panchen Lama, arrived safely in New York on his 16th Birthday (April 25). The cyclists received a warm welcome upon their arrival from Tibet supporters and members of the Tibetan community. There, they delivered a letter addressed to UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan asking him to pressure the Chinese government to release Gendun Choekyi Nyima, recognized as the Panchen Lama by the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan people."

"Statement from Tashi Lhunpo Monastery in Exile on the 16th Birthday of Gendun Choekyi Nyima
(April 25th, 2005)
We wish a very happy 16th Birthday to Gendun Choekyi Nyima, the 11th Panchen Lama, on 25th April 2005. We cannot celebrate the day with him, as he is not with us. No one even knows where the Chinese government is holding him. "
Missing 9 years, 348 days - Help find Tibet's Stolen Child!

In 2005, we will continue to work vigorously for the freedom  for all Tibetan political prisoners.
"The voiceless Tibetans inside Tibet are counting on us to speak up."
Please make a tax-deductible, donation to support ICT's work in the coming year.

Mercy Corps Tsunami Relief
-
Latest updates -                                                                      G

"Mercy Corps introduces a new way to learn about and help fund long-term rebuilding efforts to aid tsunami survivors. Margaret Larson, a former news anchor for Seattle's KING-5 TV and Dateline NBC correspondent, provides the voice for  'The Third Wave ' online interactive feature.
Through it, you can learn about some of the projects Mercy Corps will be undertaking in the region, such as farms, small business loans, schools, fishing boats and health services.
Various donation levels are offered, so you can contribute a portion of a small business loan for $35, or organize friends and neighbors to raise $11,500 to rebuild a school.
Your support for projects such as these helps ensure a lasting, sustainable recovery for coastal communities devastated by last December's Indian Ocean tsunami. Already, Mercy Corps aid has reached nearly 400,000 people. But the devastation is immense. Reconstruction cost estimates range as high as $12 billion, of which about $7-8 billion has been raised worldwide.
In addition to our ongoing efforts in Indonesia, Sri Lanka and India - the three nations hit hardest by the destructive waves - Mercy Corps has launched a program to assist the Bender Beyla district in eastern Somalia, where the tsunami washed out homes and destroyed the local fishing industry.
Across the tsunami-affected region, Mercy Corps is committed to a substantial, long-term recovery."
"Please visit www.mercycorps.org/thirdwave today and see how you can join our efforts."

"We need your help to ensure critical aid and assistance to children and families.
Mercy Corps' programs in Sudan, India, and throughout the world, are helping provide poor families hope for the future--one child at a time." http://www.mercycorps.org/items/2288?source=E053

"WORLD INVOCATION DAY"                                                                                        G

A World Day of Prayer, Invocation and Meditation.  An Invitation to Men and Women of Goodwill.

"World Invocation Day is a world day of prayer when men and women of every spiritual path join in a universal appeal to divinity and use The Great Invocation (translated into nearly 70 languages and dialects). Together they focus the invocative demand of humanity for the light, the love and the spiritual direction needed to build a world of justice, unity and peace.
Each year since 1952, people everywhere have celebrated World Invocation Day, joining in the affirmation of the oneness of humanity, the livingness of our relationship to God and the responsibility of humanity for the working out of the divine Plan on earth."

"Will you join in observing World Invocation Day - May 23, 2005 and EVERYDAY-(reciting upon morning rising, noon, and before the evening retire) through the united use of the Great Invocation, and will you help to make this widely known?"
For more information contact   World Goodwill.

THE GREAT INVOCATION

From the point of Light within the Mind of God

Let Light stream forth into the minds of men.

Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God

Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.

May Christ return to Earth.

From the centre where the Will of God is known

Let purpose guide the little wills of men -

The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

From the centre which we call the race of men

Let the Plan of Love and Light work out

And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

"The above Invocation, Mantra or Prayer belongs to all Humanity. There are certain central truths and laws that are accepted by all people worldwide, inherently and rightly so, - the truth of a Being of the Highest Power Whom we contribute all things known and unknown, governing, guiding, motivating energies of power which are the just laws of the universe - LOVE."

, pg 31; Telepathy and the Etheric Vehicle, pg 138 - Alice A. Bailey)

"
The definition of religion, which will in the future prove of greater accuracy than any yet formulated by the theologians, might be expressed as follows:  Religion is the name given to the invocative appeal of humanity and the evocative response of the greater Life to that cry." - D.K.  (See "The Reappearance of The Christ")

"THE POWER OF INTENTION:" Learning to Co-create Your World Your Way - by Wayne W. Dyer - "After years of spiritual study and reflection, inspirational speaker and best selling author Wayne Dyer has emerged a highly esteemed teacher. His current message about tapping into the power of intention may sound like good old positive thinking: just stay focused on what you want, rather than focusing on the lack of having what you want. But the teaching here goes deeper than just controlling thoughts (although he does acknowledge that thought control is a surprisingly challenging and significant endeavor). This book might help readers land a be ..."

"TOMORROW'S GOD Our Greatest Spiritual Challenge - by Neale Donald Walsch - "Humanity is about to create a new form of spirituality. This New Spirituality will allow humans to express their natural impulse toward the Divine without making one another wrong for the way in which they are doing it, and without killing one another in the name of it. When the New Spirituality is embraced by humanity, it will, of course, change everything. And that is exactly what is needed now."

C.  Health and Well-Being

"There is no Well-Being without the reality of TRUTH." - CJ Wheat

"It is a matter of discovering, comprehending, and adapting that we are able to find, experience, know, and be the TRUTH. We are uncovering or discovering what already is. Therefore, we are truth in the making. Or are we?

Why is it we can love one person and hate (totally dislike) another.? What is it that allows us to attract to one and dispel another?
These eventually are the questions that all ask at some time in life.  And, these are the reasons we are striving and seeking the understanding for the reality of Truth in all that we think, say and do. Our WELL-BEING is at stake.

Individuals, families, communities, countries are all seeking the reality of TRUTH for our WELL-BEING.  Our being well depends on our reality. We are the thinkers, decision makers, the doers that manifest our reality and the decisions are all in our perception of TRUTH.

Let's all try to see the beauty of truth in every living being and creature great and small. By so doing we are discovering the reality of our WELL-BEING." - by CJ Wheat
